Some RB designs incorporate the ExtendAir Cartridge Scrubber system to extract CO2 from the loop. Both Navy and DR (O2ptima specific) have done tests on the system and theoretical duration times have been established for different depths.
Has anybody dived the system beyond 55m (165 ft) and experienced any scrubber breakthrough?
If Yes, please note Water Temperature, Dive Time and Depth as the incident occurred.
If No (and dived the unit below 165 ft) please indicate what, in your opinion, constitutes a save Stack time for dives beyond 55m.
The reason for the request is that I am trying to establish a proven Stack time for dives beyond 55m. (At present I am limited to 48m (144 ft) and use a stack time of 240 min at Temp of 18 -25 Deg C with a safety margin of about 25%.
